Magnum photographer Leonard Freed died 29 November 2006 after a battling cancer. I bought a book of his some time ago, it was his retrospective. I was totally taken by his ability to make amazing photographs. Magnum in Motion has a wonderful tribue to him here. Looking at his work again, I am struck with a desire to forsake technology and stick with the simple Leica and black and white film. PDN has a nice story about him.
