759: Boy Scouts of Harlem

My friend Justin Szlasa has been working on a documentary about Boy Scout Troop 759 in Harlem. This is the kind of video I like, well thought out and meaningful. Watch it. It is timeless. I know I have wondered why my voice was breaking while staring at my foot (watch the trailer and it will make sense).

Translating Winogrand


Thanks for posting this Micheal. His blog 2point8 is great. There is a translation of over at flickr. Next week I will have a post about my recent graduate school, more like gradual school as John Irving would say, experiences.

Bruno Boudjelal

On the Agence Vu website they a selection of videos of different photographers. The Bruno Boudjelal video is interesting. I first encountered his Algeria work in the old Leica World magazine. It was surreal. Free and not tied to rules of photography. You can find his work since 2003 here.

Also of note is the Lars Tunbjörk video.
